. Friday was rough, but.. what a weekend. Loney with the walk off in extras on Saturday, an offensive outburst on Sunday, great performances by Kuroda and Lilly. That was good baseball.
Dodger stuff of note
- Garret Anderson was finally designated for assignment. I respect the man’s career, but this was long past due. His replacement is Jay Gibbons, who hasn’t played in the majors since 2007 and had previously retired. Normally I’d groan but he’s been doing well at AAA and I’d rather they pull someone out of the stands most nights than see Garret Anderson strike out again.
- Weaver threw in the bullpen, Bellisario is close to being back, and Furcal’s back is still giving him a little trouble but he might return on this road trip.
- Huge roadtrip coming up. This is where the Dodgers have to show their chops. Philly and Atlanta? I’ll be covering my eyes, let me know what happens.
