Big news yesterday. The Dodgers decided to non-tender Russell Martin and George Sherrill. It’s possible Martin could still be signed as a utility player, but for now he’s on the open market. Coming off an injury last year as well as having declining numbers the last two years, the Dodgers felt that the 5 million plus 1 million in incentives Martin was asking for was too much. Personally, I doubt he’s going to get that from any other team at this point. A deal to sign Rod Barajas for 2011 is reportedly close.

Good news is Billingsley, Kuo, and Loney were all offered contracts before the deadline.
