I knew I was going to miss Dodger stadium when I moved away, but I didn’t realize how much. Having season tickets meant there was almost always something to do after work. Even by myself, heading over to Chavez Ravine was the perfect end to the day. Watching the sun set while enjoying the game on a cool May night. I love NY, but I miss that. A lot.
I miss getting to the Stadium early for bobble head give aways. This year I only got to see the Dodgers in person at Citi Field, and that was nice. I finally got Matt Kemp’s autograph. Citi field is very very nice, very pretty, and you can’t beat modern stadium conveniences. But it isn’t Dodger stadium.
My worst kept secret is my indifference about city of Los Angeles. Even though I grew up in Southern California, I was never crazy about LA. When I left I was pretty sure the only thing I’d miss were the Dodgers, my friends & family, and the weather. Never is that more true than in November in Brooklyn.
