I have Broxton and Monasterios’ appearances for tomororw listed, as well as who’s in Autograph Alley this weekend. I’ll update it as often as I find out.

Well.. he’s got an era of 9.00 now so, small sample size? Not great.

I’m happy for JMac, maybe he needed less pressure than was on him with the Dodgers. I’d say don’t expect performances like that to be the norm though.

The reason we stay home instead of using our season tickets most nights.

The offense finally comes alive when we need it the least! Padilla’s 2 hit shutout was stellar. Alright Dodgers, let’s keep it up!

Ted… I’m sorry we continued the trend your last team started of giving you no run support. However I’d like to thank you for allowing one fewer than we scored, great job.

Vin can give all the inspirational “I’ve seen teams make up 10 games in 13 days” speeches he wants, I don’t know if it’s going to help. At least Kemp got the “turn on the bat” message… Or so I hear anyway, I put on the new episode of Mad Men after the Padres put up 5 runs.

The problem is that within 48 hours, the Dodgers traded Blake DeWitt, James McDonald, Lucas May, Elisaul Pimentel, Brett Wallach, Kyle Smit and Andrew Lambo for two months of Lilly, Dotel and Scott Podsednik and potentially a couple of more years of (grumble) Ryan Theriot. Two months of one decent starting pitcher and three marginal contributors. 

It is impossible for me to believe those seven players, assembled together, would not have been enough to bring Cliff Lee to Los Angeles. It is impossible for me to believe these assets could not have been better used in some fashion. 

And so whether Lee would have been the difference-maker for the Dodgers, whether or not the seven players traded away were going to be of much value going forward, it is impossible for me to feel good about what has happened. 

Maybe Lilly, Dotel, Podsednik and Theriot go hog-wild and carry the Dodgers to a title. I have no way of saying that won’t happen. But I’m not happy the Dodgers gambled what they gambled to make the bet that they made. 

Just seeing the names in a list like that… it kills me. So much. See, I blame the fact that we have an incredibly stupid general manager. Then I blame our cheap, stupid and selfish owners for giving this idiot general manager a job and an extension in the first place.

Not picking on Ethier specifically. This is a general “WTF?!” for the Dodgers.

(also i was trying to do some “LOL cat” type misspelling but it just looks like a normal “i’m an idiot” misspelling)

Busy Busy Busy. I haven’t had even a few seconds to put together a post you guys. Sorry.

The loss last night sent us 7 games out of first instead of the 5 back we could have been at (or 3 back if we had been able to sweep). I’m not saying the “hope for the playoffs” meter is anywhere near critical yet, but it is certainly on its way down rather than back up.
